When you treat yourself to a lovely bit of retail therapy at a favorite tucked away shop in the West Village, including nice chitchat with the shop manager about blogging retreats in Marrakesh and the like…only to discover once home, with horror, that your purchase can be found for literally $400 less on a favorite ONLINE shop, inexplicably 30% off?

Yes, I will be found slinking back into the shop, shamefacedly, to return my original purchase.  Slinking, yet with my sense of frugality (and perhaps gumption) intact.
