Joanne Yun is a writer and artist based in New York City working with botanical subjects through the media of illustration.

She has always found a feeling of exultation and kinship with flowers - from the colorful clumps of phlox in her childhood home’s rock garden to individual stems she appreciates through her current study of ikebana. Her hope is that people discover the subjects that she depicts with the same feeling of recognition and joy that she feels when she works with them in real life.
